Congregation of the Oaks

Who we are.

The Congregation of the Oaks (COTO) is a congregation of likeminded people who follow The Way also called The Old Path. We are a Wayest Congregation, and see our path as our way of life and our spiritual journey.

You will find The Way in many cultures, from the Norse, Teutonic, Britannic and Gaelic, Celts, and others all over Europe to even the Americas. In the New world it is known as Mountain Way, Holler Way, Peoples Way, Warrior's Way and the Peaceful Way. To most The Way is simply a philosophy of life. In COTO our clergy are following a druidic study. Therefore we have Ovates, Bards and Druids to call on. Only the Priest are actually called Druids, but our clergy are all capable of handling their duties at their levels. Our congregation is composed of others not following the druidic teachings but still very much of like mind and in beliefs, much like shamanism. We celebrant the Wheel of the Year in our Rituals, fellowship with Drumming Circles and have classes on Sundays to teach the virtues of The Way. We of COTO strive to live each day by our beliefs and philosophy, honoring our Ancestors, Loved Ones and Gods. We walk the OLD PATH known as THE WAY!

Message from Master Druid

We of the Old Path, also known as The Way used to have a study each Sunday, and our families would gather and fellowship
from all over the area. They would talk, tell stories, learn, and teach each other, in Love, Peace, and Forbearance.  Oh yes, I almost forgot, Food, for the Soul, Mind and Body. All you could Eat, of each!
This is what I would like to do here.
Start the Fellowship again, and bring back, The Old Path known as The Way.
From That, Which Is Greater, To My Mind, Through My Heart, Back to That which Is Greater.
This Is My Blessing Unto You.
We are of the Congregation Of The Oaks, located in Texas.

Our Congregation is open to anyone who wishes to come and learn  of  The Way and Fellowship with us. We have different levels of teaching and not all are expected to take up the studies that lead to clergy. All are encouraged to strive to follow the teachings of the 27 virtues and to live as best they can toward this goal. We have meetings every Sunday (except Ritual weekends) 2 P.M. - 4 P.M.  for Congregation. These meetings are open to all.
